Front view of dinner train

The Spirit of Washington dinner train sits at its Renton depot on a sunny winter afternoon in early 2007. In a few hours passengers would begin boarding it for the leisurely ride north along Lake Washington and through Bellevue and Kirkland to the Columbia Winery in Woodinville. From the time it began service in 1992 until its final run through the Eastside on August 31, 2007, the train served more than 1.3 million diners. It also provided 80 full-time jobs and pumped more than $140 million into the local economy. (Photo: Eastside Rail Now!)
