RAIL NOW

Covered hopper cars north of Woodinville at Spectrum Glass, the world's largest producer of stained glass. The company is one of approximately a dozen industries that rely on the Eastside railroad for shipments of their raw materials or products. King County has relented due to strong protests and agreed to allow this section of track to be retained for the time being if it acquires the railroad from Burlington Northern. Spectrum Glass uses rail freight for receiving sand and potash. (Photo: Eastside Rail Now!)
